Join our newly centralized Data and Analytics team as the Business Analyst in supporting our Neighborhood Services and Agency Relations departments.
This role contributes meaningfully to the organization by examining and analyzing programming and agency data to discover new insights leading to organizational excellence, efficiency, and growth supporting the organizations strategic plan.
In this role you will consult with, and provide reporting, analysis, and actionable recommendations to business teams.
You will partner with like-minded analysts to innovate, transform, and advance data intelligence across the organization.
Work Schedule:
Hybrid (must be able to come on-site to our Brooklyn Park, MN office once a week), Full-Time, 40 hours / week.
Duties and Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and data analytics resource for the Neighbor Services Program team and the Partner Relations team.
Responsible for prioritizing and fulfilling reporting and analysis requests to support Neighbor Programs including SNAP, FOODRx, CSFP, and the SHH Care Center.
Prepare reporting required for state funding, grants, and healthcare providers/insurers.
Support Partner Relations team with engagement segmentation, service statistics tracking, and additional needs.
Partner with director and colleagues to identify new and innovative ways to support decision making for programming and partner relations to increase impact and help end hunger.
Query and mine complex data sets to explore data, discover patterns, and troubleshoot discrepancies to help SHH better understand and serve its neighbors/clients and business partners.
Develop proficiency across a variety of data platforms and reporting/query tools including ServiceNow, NetSuite, PowerBI, PowerQuery, SQL, and GISmapping software.
Support data quality improvement processes.
Identify missing or erroneous data and collaborate to resolve and prevent.
Learn to lead analytics projects from start to completion.
Collaborate to prepare, interpret, and translate complex analyses.
Present unbiased findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Maintain documentation of reporting requirements, procedures, and business rules.
Work as a team to develop, apply, and maintain standard data and reporting practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports and departments.
Support cross-training efforts and provide back-up for team members, as necessary.
Uphold SHH data security and privacy policies, partner data security, and privacy provisions including HIPAA compliance.
Collaborate with director and stakeholders to set work priorities.

Must Have:
A combination of education and experience generally attained through a bachelors degree in an analytical field (mathematics, statistics, business, economics, marketing, etc.
) and a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a related field.
Demonstrated experience with several reporting and data query tools such as MS Excel, SQL, PowerQuery, Tableau Prep, Oracle Analytics, IBM Cognos Analytics, BigQuery, R.
Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker Studio Experience working within CRM/ITSM/ERP environments (ServiceNow, NetSuite, Raisers Edge, Salesforce, etc.
) Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize and interpret patterns and anomalies in data Proficient in data extraction, blending, report/dashboard design Well-organized, with exceptional attention to accuracy, detail, and follow through Strategic mindset - understands the impact of analysis work on business processes and goals.
Incorporates this knowledge when developing recommendations.
Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills Excellent communication skills, with ability to synthesize and deliver insightful information to influence business decisions (advisor) Ability to develop strong professional relationships based on inclusion, trust, and collaboration Comfortable taking on unfamiliar work and seeking out knowledge/solutions High degree of integrity, ethical decision-making and sound business judgment Willingness and enthusiasm for innovation, change, and learning new tools/applications Nice to Have:
Knowledge of non-profits, grants process, and/or HIPAA compliance Familiarity with ServiceNow, NetSuite, Oasis, ClientTrack, GIS mapping tools Experience accessing/utilizing third-party datasets, such as US Census or Feeding America data, and integrating with internal data to discover valuable insights Database management/data hygiene Experience with technical transitions impacting reporting/analytics (e.
g.
transitioning to new software systems, or shifting from decentralized to centralized cloud data warehousing) Familiarity with statistics and predictive modeling concepts Bilingual in other languages highly desired, (Spanish, Somali, Hmong).

Starting Pay Range:
$65,000 $83,000 USD annually or more / Dependent on Qualifications and Experience.
