Logistics Director

LOGISTICS DIRECTORCameron's Coffee is seeking a Logistics Director to direct all aspects of the organization's finished goods facility including designing the strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operation.
Oversees inventory distribution and transportation functions that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPIs for product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Establishes governance and quality auditing processes to monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement.
Creates and utilizes analytics to monitor and measure results, identifies problems in existing processes, and achieves high performance at optimal cost.
This role is interconnected with supply chain and sales departments.

The company is privately held and employs 140 people.
Cameron's is one of the fastest-growing brands in the growing coffee category, with a robust and loved portfolio of flavors, blends, and roasts.
Our specialty grade coffee is sourced from all over the world, and same-day roasted and packaged in our best-in-class roasting facility.
Cameron's Coffee manufactures the Cameron's brand, as well as Private Label for a small number of select retailers.
RESPONSIBILITIESThe Finished Goods Logistics Director will be responsible for:
Creating functional strategies and specific objectives for the finished goods team.
Maintaining current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient services.
Ensuring budgets/safety policies/procedures/SOPs, etc.
are adhered to on a consistent basis.
Ensuring Department KPI achievement including customer order fulfillment and finished goods inventory targets.
Overarching leadership of the day-to-day workflow of the finished goods warehouse.
Fulfillment activities for customer orders.
This includes managing third party logistics company relationships, green coffee receiving and outbound appointment management, and documentation compliance.
Partnering with Operations and Sales to assist with prioritization of production orders to ensure on-time order shipment Functions as finished goods Warehouse Management system (WMS) expert Hiring, supervising, and developing finished goods staff Conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Employee discipline up to and including termination as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Partners with Human Resources to enhance the employee experience, improve employee engagement and create career pathing opportunities for the staff.
Identifies problems and inefficiencies in existing processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ ABILITIES Excellent people management skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient with computer-based management systems for inventory control, shipping operations, fulfillment services, etc.
Proficient with Microsoft or Google Office Suite.
Ability to learn Microsoft NAV 2016 preferred.
SAP experience preferred Self-Starter:
Passion and ability to create and implement basic policies and processes to drive continuous improvement; Become the go to person for all employees to discuss warehouse-related issues.
Leadership:
Desire to develop direct reports to achieve next level performance.
Strong cross-functional acumen within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to command presence with employees at all levels to deal with diverse issues in a professional and mature manner.
The team approach to achieving business results as role will work closely with other functions not only in Operations and Sales but also in other parts of the company.
Ability to adapt as the needs of the job evolve with flexibility in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field required.
Ten years of experience in the distribution or transportation industry required.
Previous people management experience required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Physical ability to walk the perimeter of the warehouse and travel between sites.
Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time sporadically.
